PAWS FOR PRISONERS

Inmates at the correctional center in Kyle, Texas are being given the opportunity to house unwanted dogs in their cell through a program in which inmates are taught basic dog-training techniques intended to prepare the animals
for adoption.

The six-week program is designed to give both prisoners
and dogs a chance to reform their behavior.

"I've been in prison so long I fogot what it's like
to care for someone."

-James Allen, 34 - Inmate at Kyle Correctional Center
